Meet our amazing sponsor, Craftsy!

The countdown is on. Only one more week until Everything Food, and I cannot wait to mix and mingle with such a talented group of people on behalf of Craftsy.com!

If you’re unfamiliar with Craftsy, we make professionally-produced online video tutorials for all types of creative enthusiasts to learn from. Our special learning platform allows you to watch at your own pace and ask your instructor and classmates for help. What better platform than the internet to teach cooking and baking classes?

With more than 1,000 classes in 16 different hobbies, the possibilities are endless for expanding your library of creative skills.

We’ve come a long way since Craftsy was born in 2011. Since then, we’ve launched an online store stocked with the supplies our students can use to practice the skills they learn in the online classroom. We even brought home a James Beard Award this month for our class Indian Curries: The Basics & Beyond, instructed by Chef Raghavan Iyer!

My role at Craftsy is to work with influencers who want to inspire their readers and followers to express themselves creatively. The influencers I work with share their learning experiences without shame. If there is one thing I’ve learned from working with bloggers, it’s that people love to hear about the learning journeys of people they look up to. It’s inspiring for those who want to work on personal development, yet are intimidated to take the plunge.

When bloggers want to share Craftsy with their readers, I ask them to join our affiliate program so they can receive compensation for any class sales that result from their writing about Craftsy. How does this work? Say you’re writing a blog post about Indian food. As part of that post, you tell a short tale about your experience learning how to cook Indian food. This would be a great place to insert a special link to Craftsy’s Indian cooking class. This way, you recommend an additional learning resource for your readers that is highly relevant to what you’re writing about. At the same time, the link will track any purchases the reader makes afterward on Craftsy.

As a blogger, you only want to recommend products you use and love, right? This is why we will give you free anytime-access to the online cooking classes you are interested in recommending to your readers. Your readers will be happy to buy a class through your affiliate link if they know they’re supporting you and your blog, so that they can continue to get valuable free content from you.

We’ve seen affiliates make up to $10K per month with Craftsy’s affiliate program. It turns out that people do love online learning and supporting the blogs they follow. This program can provide you, too, with a huge opportunity to diversify your blog monetization and increase your monthly income. I’ve even taken affiliates with tiny audiences and helped them go from $0 to $300 in affiliate marketing income within one month.

If you want to join Craftsy’s affiliate program or have questions about how to apply this to your blog specifically, please stop by the Craftsy booth at Everything Food.

I’ll see you soon, and I am beyond excited to meet you in person!

  1. This looks like a really neat option for those that want to learn about cooking but don’t want the inconvenience of doing so locally, or that may not have the local option! Look forward to stopping by the Craftsy booth next week! 🙂
